FRP basics

What is FRP?

FRP means fibre-reinforced polymers, the broader family of polymers strengthened with fibres. GFRP (glass fibre-reinforced polymer) uses glass reinforcement. We supply resins, glass fibre, gelcoats and mould-release products for fabricators; fabricators make the finished parts.

01 / Form

Moulded form

The mould and process set the part’s shape and repeatability.

02 / Structure

Laminate design

Reinforcement and resin selection follow the part’s design requirements.

03 / Surface

Finish

Specify gelcoat and surface finish for appearance, exposure and service conditions.

FRP applications

Compare material benefits and production requirements for each application, with examples from our customer industries.

For fabricators

Send the specification.

Include resin grade, reinforcement, finish, process and quantity. We can confirm product availability and supply details.

For first-time makers

Planning an FRP part?

Share a sketch or photo, dimensions, intended use and quantity. Tell us if you have a mould or fabricator; we can identify relevant material categories.

We supply materials. If a suitable contact is available, we can privately refer you to a moulder; arrange fabrication, design and installation with the specialist.
