Transport panels & insulated bodies

FRP bus & vehicle bodies

FRP is used for shaped bus panels, special-purpose vehicle bodies and the skins of insulated transport bodies. Each construction needs its own laminate, core and joining specification.

Why FRP works for bus & vehicle bodies

Moulded panels with lower mass

Glass reinforcement and resin form shaped panels without a solid metal section. Moulds reproduce body contours, while the laminate design determines stiffness, strength and weight.

Insulated sandwich construction

Bonding FRP skins to a suitable insulating core creates a panel for temperature-controlled transport bodies. The core provides thermal resistance; the skins protect it and contribute to panel stiffness.

What to specify: Send the panel geometry, laminate or sandwich specification, service temperature, joint details and finish requirements. Fire performance, payload and road-use compliance depend on the complete approved vehicle design.
