Cobalt Octoate 2% is a metal-carboxylate accelerator used to promote curing of unsaturated polyester and compatible vinyl ester resin systems when used with an organic peroxide catalyst such as MEKP. The lower cobalt concentration can be selected where a lower accelerator strength is required.

Recommended use
Add to compatible polyester/vinyl ester resin according to the resin supplier's specified accelerator and MEKP levels; optimize by trial for ambient temperature and laminate size.
Not recommended for
Not intended as a standalone curing agent; do not substitute for the peroxide catalyst; exact compatibility must be confirmed for non-polyester systems.
Handling and safety
Never mix cobalt accelerator directly with MEKP or other concentrated organic peroxide. Add components separately to the resin in the prescribed order. Use gloves, eye protection and ventilation and follow the current SDS.
